Il tour in Costa Rica, oltre a simulare 26 tratte nei cieli della splendida nazione centroamericana, si svolge rappresentando il lavoro quotidiano di un vero pilota professionista, che ogni giorno accompagna i passeggeri che sfruttano il velivoli leggeri per spostarsi all'interno del Paese.
Torneremo più volte nell'aeroporto internazionale di San Josè, nodo centrale di tutto il tour. Isole, vulcani, spiaggie.
Ricognizione sui cieli dell'aeroporto internazionale Tobias Boleanos e atterraggio nello stesso aeroporto.
Successivo Take-off diretti ad Harradura sul Pacifico, costaggiando Playa Hermosa e poi su Quepos iniziamo a scendere per atterarre a La Managua. Si torna a San Josè questa volta passando su Grifo Alto.
Da Tobias dobbiamo avvicinarci al limitrofo aeroporto si Juan Santamaria, vari circuti per prendere confidenza con esso.
Così ripartiamo per Tambor per una tratta andata e ritorno,sorvolando Isla Tortuga. Per la settima tappa da Juan Santamaria all'aeroporto di Corozalito e di nuovo indietro.
Nuovo tae-off per Tamarindo ma costeggiando la Reserba absoluta di Cabo Blanco, Manzanillo, Punta Islita, Playa Guiones,San Juanillo, Playa Langosta, aeroposrto di Barrio Refundores. Si torna a San Josè sorvolando Cartagena, Puerto Carazo, Golfo Colorado, Isla de Chira, Cantone de Puntarenas in Chacarita, El Trinidad, Barrio Escobal di San Antonio.
La 11ma ci spingiamo a Nord Ovest, su per i cieli dell'entrotrra:Zapotal, San Buenaventura, in prossimità di Mataplano, virata ad Est per atterrare all'aeroporto Daniel Oduber Quiros Int. a La Zanjita. Senza tornare questa volta nella Capitale costaricana, via diretti a Sud fino a Las Alamedas, un bellissimo tragitto sopra vari parchi nazionali:Palo Verde; Costa del Pajaros;Tivives: Parque Nacional Carara; Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio; Playa Garza; Boca Chocuaco; Parque Nacional Pedras Blancas; Refugio de vida Silvestre Golfito; Naranjal.
Ripartenza verso Ovest sorvolando Zancudo sulla foce del Rio Coto per atterrare a Puerto Jimenez, sul Golfito, nella penisola che ospita il Parque Nacional Corcovado. Si ritorna al Bolanos Palma di San Josè sorvolando di nuovo la costa sul Pacifico.
Da San Josè, la prossima tappa è quella che ci obbliga a passare nell'unico varco diponibile alle nostre quote, nel mezzo della catena vulcanica. Dritti fino a Cantone di Cartago virata verso Turrialba, poi ad Est vesro Cantone de Siquirres. A San Cristobal virata a Sud, ci attende la discesa sulla spiaggia, nella costa Atlantica del Mar dei Caraibi.Quando avvistiamo Rio Matina che sfocia in mare sappiamo che siamo vicini.
La cittadina di Limon, proprio sul capo, ci ricorda che l'aeroporto è li, sulla spiaggia. Risorvoliamo a ritroso la tratta per tornare a Tobias. Da qui è la volta di La Fortuna, che raggiungiamo sorvolando a sud ovest il parco nazionale del Vulcano Pòas.
La prossima tratta è una escursione meravigliosa: da la Fortuna circumnavighiamo il cratere del vulcano Arenal e poi una discesa fino alla omonima Laguna. Un volo sopra Tronadora e poi indietro fino alle pendici del vulcano, sorvolando Cerro Chato.
Juan Santamaria è la destinazione finae di questa tratta. Di seguito touch and go a Tobias e poi diretti a Aranjuez, un bel sorvolo sulla città di Chacarita e il suo barrio sul mare per poi tornare a San Josè. La tappa 23 ci spinge fino all'aeroporto di Barra de Totuguero e poi tornare di nuovo nella capitale.
Il tour costaricano termina con l'ultima andata e ritorno da Tobias a Quepos, sorvolando la città.
1.930 miglia nautiche, 3574 km per 19 ore di volo.

Reconnaissance over the skies of Tobias Boleanos International Airport and landing at the same airport.

Departure westward flying over Zancudo over the mouth of the Rio Coto to land in Puerto Jimenez, on the Golfito, on the peninsula that hosts the Corcovado National Park. We return to the Bolanos Palma in San Jose flying over the Pacific coast again.
From San Jose, the next stage is the one that forces us to pass through the only passage available at our altitude, in the middle of the volcanic chain. Straight on as far as Cantone di Cartago turning towards Turrialba, then east towards Cantone de Siquirres. In San Cristobal, turning south, the descent on the beach awaits us, on the Atlantic coast of the Caribbean Sea. When we see Rio Matina which flows into the sea, we know that we are close.
The town of Limon, right on the cape, reminds us that the airport is there, on the beach. We retrace the route to return to Tobias. From here it's the turn of La Fortuna, which we reach by flying over the Pòas Volcano National Park to the southwest.
The next section is a wonderful excursion: from La Fortuna we circumnavigate the crater of the Arenal volcano and then a descent to the lagoon of the same name. A flight above Tronadora and then back to the slopes of the volcano, flying over Cerro Chato.
Juan Santamaria is the final destination of this route. Then touch and go to Tobias and then direct to Aranjuez, a nice flight over the city of Chacarita and its barrio on the sea to then return to San Josè. Stage 23 pushes us to the airport of Barra de Totuguero and then back to the capital again.
The Costa Rican tour ends with the last round trip from Tobias to Quepos, flying over the city.
