Diario di bordo - Logbook
Si va dalle Alpi Cozie all'Adriatico, lungo il corso del fiume Po. Dalla sorgente alla foce, oltre 600 km, attraversando la verde pianura Padana.
Partenza dall'aeroporto di Levaldigi, direzione Nord Ovest: Borgo San Giacomo, Venasca, Brossasco, all'interno della valle fino alla virata sul centro di Casteldelfino, direzione Nord.
Il sorvolo è molto suggestivo, lascando alle nostre spalle il Lago di Castello, fiancheggiamo la parete ovest del Monviso.La Francia è qualche cima più in là.
Sulla sinistra il colle della Losetta e sotto le nostre ali ie alpi Cozie, Col du Colonel. Ci spingiamo ai 10.000 piedi per scavalcare le cime e tirare un respiro di sollievo. In basso ci sono i laghi Losetto e Fiorenza che ci segnalano la Riserv a Naturale Pian del Re, dove nasce il fiume più lungo della penisola italiana.
Sorvoliamo la sorgente e di seguito le lpcalità di Serre Uberto, Crissolo, Ostana, Pertus, Ghisola, Rocchetta, Rifugio Stefano Mulatero, Revello.
Quando incontriamo nuovamnte il Fiume Po, ormai avviato a percorrere tutto il territorio che lo divide dal mare, viriamo a Nord Est, in prossimità di Ponte Po in provincia di Cuneo.
Prossimi way point: Cardè, Carmagnola, Moncalieri, Chivasso.
La virata ad Est ci prersenta il parco Fluviale, in località San Sebastiano, e poi con la prua dritta verso Cantavenna e la riserva naturale Ghiaia Grande a Mombello Monferrato. A Pontestura iniziamo l'approach per il primo scalo. Destinazione l'avio scalo di Casale Monfettato, con la pista in erba.
Quando riprendiamo il volo ci dirigiamo presso il canile Intercomunale "Baulandia". Avvistata la riva destra del Po effettuiamo la virata verso Est. Qui il fiume fa una serie di serpentine e poi si lascia scivolare vesro Sud. Lo seguiamo sorvolando Valmacca , Rivalba, Valenza. Sulla riva opposta è già Lombardia. Si prosegue verso Bassignana, Capraglia, Ponte della Gerola, Pancarana. Al confine con il comune di Pavia incrociamo il Ticino, tra gli affluenti maggiori. Giù l'ala destra per attivare la virata verso Pieve Porto Morone e poi un breve sorvolo sui tetti di Piacenza.
Ancora qualche miglia e appare Cremona.
Sulle campagne di Salice impostiamo la prua per San Daniele Po. Una virata a Sud per raggiungere Ragazzola. Da qui in poi dobbiamo lasciare il fiume per preparare l'atterraggio a Parma. La pista in uso è la 02. Scendiamo e poggiamo il carrello al suolo.
Ultima tappa di questo tour: Parma avio superfice di Ca Negra. Decollo e prua a Nord per ricongiungerci con il Po. Lo ritroviamo presso Osteria dove, nel Parco della Golena del Po, si sdraia medievale il comune di Casalmaggiore. Qui il corso crea una sinuosa ansa, dividendosi in due rami davanti l'isola di Fossacaprara.
Lo inseguiamo sorvolando dapprima Brescello poi il comune di Piazza Nuova. In questo waypoint cambiamo la prua verso Nord ovest, dove ci attende Luzzara e successivamente Suzzara.
Il fiume volta di fronte l'isola Cialdini e noi lo imitiamo, così raggiungiamo San Benedetto del Po, poi Borgofranco, altra virata fino a Stellata. Ed ecco apparire i tetti di Eurovo, qui il cordo risale fino al comune di Polesella, ma è solo per un breve tratto. Il mare è alle porte.
Le campagne intorno Borgo-Santi introducono Papozze, Bottrighe, Taglio di Po.
Ormai vicini alla meta anche il fiume si arricchisce di nuove definizioni: Po di Venezia e, presso la foce, Po di Pila.
L'isola di Peri è già nell'adriatico. Il viaggio è finito. Una virata sulla foce, per ammirare le bellezze del Polesine e torniamo verso Contarina. Siamo nel parco del Delta. Nei paraggi c'è un'area agricola dove decidiamo di scendere. L'avio superfie di Ca Negra ci accoglie per siglare questo meraviglioso tour.

It goes from the Cottian Alps to the Adriatic, along the course of the Po river. From source to mouth, over 600 km, crossing the green Po Valley.
Departure from Levaldigi airport, heading North West: Borgo San Giacomo, Venasca, Brossasco, inside the valley until the turn towards the center of Casteldelfino, heading North.
The overflight is very suggestive, leaving Lake Castello behind us, we flank the west face of Monviso. France is a few peaks further away.
On the left the Losetta hill and under our wings the Cottian Alps, Col du Colonel. We push ourselves to 10,000 feet to climb over the peaks and breathe a sigh of relief. Below are the Losetto and Fiorenza lakes which point to the Pian del Re Nature Reserve, where the longest river on the Italian peninsula originates.
We fly over the source and then the localities of Serre Uberto, Crissolo, Ostana, Pertus, Ghisola, Rocchetta, Rifugio Stefano Mulatero, Revello.
When we meet the Po River again, now starting to cover the entire territory that divides it from the sea, we turn north-east, near Ponte Po in the province of Cuneo.
Next way points: Cardè, Carmagnola, Moncalieri, Chivasso.
The turn to the East presents us with the Fluviale park, in the San Sebastiano area, and then with the bow straight towards Cantavenna and the Ghiaia Grande nature reserve in Mombello Monferrato. In Pontestura we begin the approach to the first port of call. The destination is the Casale Monfettato airport, with the grass runway.
When we get back on the flight we head to the "Baulandia" Intermunicipal kennel. Having sighted the right bank of the Po we turn towards the East. Here the river makes a series of serpentines and then lets itself slide towards the South. We follow it flying over Valmacca, Rivalba, Valenza. On the opposite bank it is already Lombardy. Continue towards Bassignana, Capraglia, Ponte della Gerola, Pancarana. On the border with the municipality of Pavia we cross the Ticino, among the major tributaries. Down the right wing to activate the turn towards Pieve Porto Morone and then a brief flyover over the rooftops of Piacenza.
A few more miles and Cremona appears.
On the countryside of Salice we set the bow for San Daniele Po. A turn south to reach Ragazzola. From here on we have to leave the river to prepare for landing in Parma. The runway in use is 02. We get off and place the trolley on the ground.
Last stop of this tour: Parma air surface of Ca Negra. We take off and head north to rejoin the Po. We find it again near Osteria where, in the Po Golena Park, the medieval municipality of Casalmaggiore lies. Here the course creates a sinuous bend, dividing into two branches in front of the island of Fossacaprara.
We follow it, first flying over Brescello and then the municipality of Piazza Nuova. At this waypoint we change the bow towards the North West, where Luzzara and then Suzzara awaits us.
The river turns in front of the Cialdini island and we imitate it, thus reaching San Benedetto del Po, then Borgofranco, another turn up to Stellata. And here the roofs of Eurovo appear, here the cordo goes up to the municipality of Polesella, but it is only for a short stretch. The sea is upon us.
The countryside around Borgo-Santi introduces Papozze, Bottrighe, Taglio di Po.
Now close to the destination, the river is also enriched with new definitions: Po di Venezia and, near the mouth, Po di Pila.
The island of Peri is already in the Adriatic. The journey is over. A turn on the mouth, to admire the beauties of the Polesine and we return towards Contarina. We are in the Delta park. Nearby there is an agricultural area where we decide to go down. The Ca Negra airfield welcomes us to sign this wonderful tour.
